A Pebble Beach Concours Moment by WeatherTech
Jay Leno was among Pebble Beach Concours entrants in 2008, sharing his 5-ton 1953 Chrysler with its massive 30-liter engine—a car formerly known as the “Blastolene Special” and now often referred to as “The Terminator.” The V-12 single overhead cam fuel-injected engine was built by Chrysler to power the M47 Patton Tank. It originally produced about 810 hp, but with twin Banks turbochargers, it now produces 1,600 hp and 1,590 pound-feet of torque.
Our thanks to WeatherTech for partnering with us to make this video moment for you. Our thanks, too, to Keith Martin for serving as our show field interview host in 2008 and on many other occasions.
