Public Relations Intern

Description
Assist with vetting and registration of domestic and international media from the inception of the application process through day of show.

Responsibilities

  • Review all media credential applications
  • Update media application database with registrations
  • Handle credentialing of all TV/Film crews that shoot video at event, including gathering Certificates of Insurance for all crews and drafting Photo Agreements
  • Assist with onsite registrations at the Media Pavilion throughout week and day of show
  • Handle requests for information from both media and general public
  • General clerical duties including photocopying, mailing and answering phones
  • Perform other tasks as needed

Education & Experience

  • Minimum 1 year of college
  • Media-related experience a plus
  • Excellent computer skills and knowledge of Word, Excel and/or databases
  • Able to communicate well in professional setting
  • Familiar with principles and practices of basic office management

Details

  • May – Aug/Sept, Monday through Friday 8:00am – 6:00pm (times will vary within these hours)
  • Must have open availability during week leading up to Day of Show (August 1s hours vary
  • Paid position
