The annual Pebble Beach Concours Charity Drawing concluded yesterday when one lucky ticketholder — a man from Pebble Beach — won a 2021 Lexus LC 500 Convertible.

There is another winner, too, of course: the funds raised by this drawing, totaling more than $225,000, go directly to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Monterey County.

“We are grateful to Lexus, who made this charity drawing possible, and to the many people near and far who reserved tickets to make this drawing a success,” said Sandra Button, Chairman of the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. “I’m truly touched to see how our supporters have rallied to help us help people in need even in the absence of the Pebble Beach Concours.”

Earlier this summer, despite the announcement that the 2020 Concours was cancelled, Lexus stepped forward to offer a newly introduced 2021 LC 500 Convertible to spur this charitable effort, and news of the charity drawing was quickly disseminated. Lexus is both an ongoing sponsor of the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance and the Preferred Vehicle of Pebble Beach Resorts — and the Boys and Girls Clubs of Monterey County are a longtime charitable partner of both the Concours and Pebble Beach Company Foundation.

All charity drawing tickets reserved to date went into a big brass drum today — and when the drum stopped spinning, one ticket was pulled out, and the winner was announced: It was Joe M. of Pebble Beach, Calif.

The first-ever LC 500 Convertible, introduced earlier this summer, offers breathtaking style and unmatched refinement paired with exhilarating performance.

The funds raised for the Boys & Girls Clubs through this effort are in addition to other charitable funds raised by the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance and distributed to charities in early September by Pebble Beach Company. Concours charitable donations for 2020 now total $1,240,450 dollars. The 70th Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance will now take place on August 15, 2021.
